Palestinians killed

‣ 431 persons killed (134 since the beginning of the year);

‣ Of these, 113 minors (32 since the beginning of the year);

‣ In addition (!) - 4 killed during terrorist attacks inside Israel;

‣ 13 died in prison as a result of medical neglect or abuse.


Israelis killed

‣ 18 persons killed, 5 of them soldiers;

‣ 2 killed by Israeli army/police.


Palestinians wounded

‣ 4,760 persons wounded (as of April 1st);

‣ 739 of them minors.


Israelis wounded

‣ 111 Israelis wounded (as of April 1st).


Arrests

‣ As of April 3rd, 7,990 Palestinians arrested;

‣ Of them, 510 minors, 105 of them school children;

‣ Of them, 258 women;

‣ 66 journalists arrested since October 7th, 45 still held in custody (including

4 women), 23 of them in administrative detention. Most have reported physical violence during and after arrest;

‣ 4,430 administration detention orders have been issued (either new or extended);

‣ 9,300 Palestinians held in prisons as of now, 3,661 of them administrative detainees (39%);

‣ 200 minors held in prisons, of them 23 minors from the Gaza Strip.


Expulsion, demolitions, displacements

‣ Since October 7th, Israel has sequestered 27,000 dunams of land in the West Bank;

‣ State of Israel has affirmed the construction of 1,895 residences for Jews;

‣ 11 colonist outposts have been erected;

‣ 5 Jews-only roads have been paved;

‣ The West Bank now filled with checkpoints and gates limiting movement of Palestinian inhabitants;

‣ Since October 7th, Israel carries out a monthly average of 690 raids on Palestinian communities, damaging houses, infrastructures and shopping centers;

‣ As a result, 900 Palestinians have lost their homes (as of April 1st);

‣ Since October 7th, a monthly average of 280 Palestinians are displaced (in contrast with 128 prior to October 7th);

‣ 206 families comprised of 1,244 Palestinians (609 of them minors), 22 communities, have been forced out of their homes by colonist violence or military restrictions;

‣ 840 checkpoints.




Colonist violence

‣ Since October 7, 2023 and until April 1, 2024, 704 colonist attacks against Palestinians have been documented (a daily average of 4 attacks);

‣ 146 of them ended in casualties;

‣ 13 Palestinians have been killed, 400 wounded, 9,000 trees uprooted, 40 homes vandalized.

Palestinians killed

‣ 33,091 persons killed;

‣ 14,500 of them minors;

‣ 9,560 of them women;

‣ 70% of the missing persons are women and children;

‣ 34 (31 of them children) have died of starvation and dehydration;

‣ Every hour, an average of 4 children are killed;

‣ 480 medical staff members killed;

‣ 65 civilian rescue team members killed;

‣ 140 journalists killed;

‣ 17,000 children (as of January) orphaned of at least one parent.


In items published in The Guardian, Haaretz and Local Call the number of death and wounding as a result of sniper fire or point-blank shooting at central body mass or head among children has risen considerably (testimonies of 9 volunteer doctors to The Guardian).


Israelis killed

‣ 1,260 persons killed on October 7th, 36 of them minors;

‣ 255 Israeli soldiers killed during fighting in the Gaza Strip;

‣ About 40 captives killed, with certainty.


Palestinians wounded

‣ 75,750 Palestinians wounded;

‣ About 1,000 children have had at least one limb amputated;

‣ 26,000 children (2% of the children population of the Gaza Strip) either killed or wounded;

‣ 1,088,864 persons suffering from infectious diseases.


Israeli captives

‣ 134 persons held in captivity. Some killed.


Palestinians held in custody

‣ Exact figure unknown. Concealed. Thousands.

Known data:

‣ 23 minors held in Megiddo Prison;

‣ 500 arrested at Al Shifaa Hospital;

‣ 310 health staff members arrested;

‣ 12 journalists;

‣ At least 29 Gazans died while held in custody.


According to a letter written by a doctor serving at Sdeh Teiman (the facility where the Palestinian arrestees are held) to Israeli ministers and the government’s Legal Adviser, they arrestees are held shackled and blindfolded 24 hours a day, fed through a straw and defecate in diapers. Amputations as a result of the shackling are a routine matter. They are not all Hamas operatives, some of them are Gazan workers who were in Israel on October 7th (the letter and people’s condition were publicized in Hagar Shezaf’s item in Haaretz Daily Newspaper).


Demolitions and displaced persons

‣ 2 million displaced persons;

‣ About one-half of Gaza Strip’s population is concentrated in 20% of its area. An average of 850 persons are using a single toilet;

‣ 405 schools have been either totally destroyed or damaged;

‣ 229 mosques have been destroyed;

‣ Damage to infrastructures is estimated at 18.5 billion dollars.



Famine and disease

‣ 80% of the Strip’s population are coping with high levels of hunger (3-5);

‣ 50,400 children under the age of 5 suffer severe malnutrition that can damage their development;

‣ 34% of the children under the age of two suffer severe diarrhea;

‣ The Kamal Adwan Hospital reports that about 15 children arrive daily, suffering malnutrition;

‣ Multiplicity of early births. Maternity Hospital reports about 60-70 births a day, there are 70 incubated babies (with equipment for 10, the capacity prior to October 7th). Some of them will die of lack of equipment, milk, oxygen and medication.

2. Al Mughayyir, north-east of Ramallah - confrontations during raid. No casualties reported.

3. Al Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron - confrontations close to military watchtower at camp entrance. Palestinian throw fire bombs. Soldiers answer them with live fire.

4. Nablus - eastern part of city raided. Fire exchange. Arrest and vehicle confiscation.

5. Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm - special forces surround house. Confrontations. Military auxiliary force. Arrests.

6. Beit Ummar, north of Hebron - confrontations during which 13-year-old is wounded by shrapnel in the neck, medium condition.


Demolitions and blocking

1. Sebastia, north-west of Nablus - dirt track connecting Burqa and Sebastia to Tulkarm is blocked. Palestinian farmland vandalized by bulldozers close to Deir Sharaf Checkpoint.

2. Salfit district - entrances to Deir Istiya, Kifl Hares and Hares blocked by dirt piles.

Northern Strip

‣ Throughout the day, 22 rockets fired at Kiryat Shmona, Tel Khai, Beit Hillel, Metula (direct hit), army base at Shab’a Farm, Military post at Kafr Shuba, Margaliyot, Rosh Ha’Niqra, Shlomi, military post in the Golan.


Attacks against South Lebanon

‣ 3 Hezbollah activists killed.

‣ Aerial attacks - Ayta ash Shab, Al Bazouriye (a vehicle), Meiss Al Jamal (army camp), Shab’a town, Yarun (after rockets fired).

Colonist attacks

1. Husan, west of Bethlehem - in the morning, for several hours, colonists kidnapped a 17-years-old Palestinian shepherd.

2. Mukhamas, north-east of Jerusalem - colonists raided the town from the east during iftar (meal breaking the Ramadan fast), smashing windshields, beating up villagers confronting them, and firing live bullets. A Palestinian was wounded by the live fire and 3 others bruised.

3. Beit Furik, east of Nablus - colonists attacked farmers who resisted.

Attacks against Israelis

1. Beer Sheva - A Rahat resident stabbed 2 Israelis (a soldier among them) at the city’s main bus station, before he was shot to death.



2. Gan Yavne - a Palestinian resident of Dura stabbed 3 Israelis at a shopping center (gym and café), wounded 2 of them seriously and one mildly. Several days later, a resident of Gan Yavne, married and father of a baby-girl, his wife pregnant - died of his wounds.



3. Azzun, east of Qalqilya - stones thrown at vehicles.


Colonist attacks

1. Madama, south of Nablus - stones thrown at Palestinian vehicles.

2. Dura - colonists attack a shepherd and beat him up. He was hospitalized suffering from lesions and bruises in his entire body.

3. Battir, west of Bethlehem - colonists backed up by the army attack a farmer and steal his tractor. Afterwards the soldiers stood by while the attacked Palestinian was arrested.

4. Arab Al Rashaida, north of Jericho - colonists attack and try to steal sheep.

Sunday, March 31 - The Gaza Strip

‣ 8 lethal attacks;

‣ 73 persons killed;

‣ 107 persons wounded;

‣ An Israeli soldier died of his wounds, incurred on Friday at Khan Yunis;

‣ 24 hours.

1. Gaza City:

‣ Al Zeitoun neighborhood - Al Kuwaiti Roundabout - 2 persons killed and 3 wounded. Later, fire from helicopters and artillery;

‣ Al Shifaa Hospital - aerial attacks. The Israeli army claims to have killed 15 Hamas activists in the past 24 hours. 21 ill patients died from lack of treatment since the siege began 13 days ago. 107 of them are still under siege, among them 4 children without water, food, electricity or medication;

‣ Al Shati refugee camp - 2 persons killed and 10 wounded.

2. Beit Lahia - another 4 persons died of starvation and dehydration. 2 minors among them. The number of persons dead of starvation has risen to 34, of them, 31 were children.

Deir Al Balah


1. Deir Al Balah - aerial attack on displaced persons tent at Al Nasser Hospital compound. The Israeli army claims it sheltered Islamic Jihad activists. 4 persons killed, 17 wounded, 8 journalists among them.



2. Al Maghazi refugee camp - 3 persons killed, a journalist among them.

Southern Strip

1. Khan Yunis - fire exchange between Hamas and the Israeli army. 5 persons killed in artillery bombing.

3. Shu’afat refugee camp, north-east Jerusalem - night raid, massive use of teargas.

5. Beit Ummar, north of Hebron - confrontations in Al Dahar area.

6. Dura, south of Hebron - raid, searches in the home of shooter at Gan Yavne. Confrontations, army uses live fire. Arrests.

Monday, April 1 - The Gaza Strip

‣ 6 lethal attacks;

‣ 63 persons killed;

‣ 94 persons wounded;

‣ One Israeli soldier killed;

‣ 8 Israeli soldiers wounded, one in serious condition;

‣ 24 hours.

Northern Strip

1. Gaza City:



‣ Al Shifaa Hospital compound - the army retreated at dawn after two weeks of siege and attacks. Only rubble remains of the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army claims to have killed 200 Hamas fighters:



◦ 400 persons killed including 5 doctors inside the compound and its surrounding - some shackled, some run over (by tanks), in various stages of decomposition including bodies from the improvised cemetery that the army dispersed in the compound;

◦ 100 persons missing;

◦ 500 persons arrested;

◦ 900 detained for interrogation, some tortured;

◦ 21 ill patients died for lack of treatment. The condition of 107 patients in serious condition and passed over from one place to another is not yet known. Patients under siege that have been released are in dire condition of malnutrition and lack of treatment;

◦ 1050 apartments and houses around the compound were destroyed and burnt;

◦ The Israeli army claims to have carried out a surgical action during which senior commanders of Hamas were killed, much intelligence was collected, and weapons stashes were discovered.

Central Strip

1. Al Zahra - bitter fighting.

2. Nuseirat refugee camp - vehicle bombed. 2 persons killed.

3. Deir Al Balah - mosque bombed, a child killed and 12 persons wounded.

1. Khan Yunis - bitter fighting. Especially in the western part of the city, the Israeli army continues to blow up one residential neighborhood after another. Dozens of persons wounded. Al Nasser Square - 4 persons killed and another bombing of displaced persons’ tents.

2. Rafah - bombing in the eastern part of the city. 7 persons killed, 5 of them children.

Attacks against Israel

1. Alarm sirens: southern Golan (drone penetration suspected), Tiberias. 9 missiles fell in various spots along the border.

2. Attacks of army posts: Liman Village (army post), Navy Base in Eilat (not on the northern border, though…)


Attacks against South Lebanon

1. Aerial attacks - Aita el-Foukhar; Hanine, Wazzani;

2. Artillery - Khiam, Naqoura, Wadi Shab’a, Jabal Sadna.


Attacks against Syria

1. Aerial attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus and consular residence.

6 persons killed, among them a senior commander of the Revolutionary Guards.

 

Tuesday, April 2 - The West Bank

Killed

Rabi’a Faisal Zakarna, 20-years-old from Qabatiya. He was shot and critically wounded on Saturday, (in a raid during which a 13-year-old was killed) and died of his wounds today.

Note that in confrontations between the Palestinian Authority forces and Palestinians, since October 7th 6 persons were killed so far. The last was today.


Arrests

40 persons arrested, among them 2 journalists, 4 minors, 2 women. Furthermore, on Monday a human rights activist was arrested while accompanying shepherds at Ein Samiya (north-east of Ramallah). As of writing the file, he is still in custody.

Tuesday, April 2 - The Gaza Strip
