Killed
‣ 2023 has been declared the most lethal year since the organization began its documentation in 2005 – since the beginning of the year, 476 Palestinians were killed, 112 of them minors. 278 were killed since October 7th, 70 of them minors.
‣ 36 Israelis were killed by Palestinians since the beginning of the year, 6 of them minors. 6 more Israelis were killed by Palestinians inside the State of Israel, as well as one holding foreign citizen.
‣ Since October 7th, 7 Israelis were killed by Palestinians, and another by an Israeli soldier during a terrorist attack.
‣ Regarding October 7th, 67% of the Palestinians were killed during raid and arrest operations. Over 50% were killed in operations that contained no gunfire exchange.
‣ Among the Palestinians killed, 8 were killed by colonists, 2 by colonists/soldiers.

Wounded
‣ Since the beginning of 2023, 12,566 Palestinians were wounded, 1,841 of them minors.
‣ Since October 7th, 3,607 Palestinians were wounded, 552 of them minors. 33% were wounded by live fire (compared to 9% prior to October 7th). For the sake of comparison, in the entire 2022 (considered most lethal until 2023), 8,239 Palestinians were wounded.
‣ In addition to the above data, 103 Palestinians were wounded by colonists since October 7th. 85 were wounded by colonists, 18 by colonists/soldiers.
‣ Since the beginning of 2023, 141 Israelis were wounded by Palestinians, 10 of them minors.

Arrests
Since October 7th, 4,520 Palestinians have been arrested, 2,200 Palestinians are in administrative detention.
Demolitions and refugees
‣ Since the beginning of 2023, 1,010 Palestinian buildings were demolished, leaving 3,326 persons homeless.
‣ 806 buildings were in Area C (needing construction permits), 1,098 persons remained homeless.
‣ 170 were destroyed during military operations, leaving 640 refugees, 34 buildings demolished in collective punitive action, leaving 146 refugees.
‣ 1,442 Palestinians became refugees by colonist violence.
‣ Since October 7th, 1,257 Palestinians, 582 of them minors, became refugees due to colonist violence. 338 refugees, 182 of them minors, became homeless due to house demolitions in Area C. This is an increase of 27% compared to months prior to October 7th.
‣ 16 houses were destroyed as collective punishment leaving 68 persons homeless, 45 of them minors. A similar number of houses were destroyed in the first 9 months of the year.
‣ 42 houses were destroyed in military operations, leaving 269 refugees, 121 of them minors. 61% of them are in the Jenin refugee camp.

Colonist attacks
‣ Since the beginning of 2023, 1,196 colonist attacks were recorded. They reached their peak in October 2023, with 221 attacks in one month. The weekly average number of attacks since the beginning of the years is 35.
‣ Since October 7th, 344 colonist attacks were recorded, 80 of them ending with casualties. 33% of the attacks include the use of firearms. 50% of the attacks include the presence/involvement of army that supports the colonists.

Mass grave at Deir al-Balah
Killed
‣ In the Gaza Strip, as of December 15th – 18,800 Palestinians killed, 5,135 of them women, 7,729 minors.
‣ 1% of the local population has been killed. 70% of them were women and children.
‣ There are 120 mass graves.
‣ 135 UNRWA workers are among the killed. At least 300 medical team members were killed, 32 civilian rescuers, 89 journalists.
‣ 1,680 families have multiple family-members killed.

Wounded

‣ In the massacre of October 7th, about 5,400 Israelis were wounded.
‣ According to the Israeli army spokesperson, 681 soldiers have been wounded. According to hospital reports, they number at least twice as many.
Hostages
‣ 129 persons are still held hostage in the Gaza Strip. The death of 30 of them has been reported whether by shootings of the Israeli army or the Hamas, or their bodies snatched.
‣ 86 Israelis and 24 foreign citizens have been freed.
Demolitions and refugees
‣ As of December 1st, the entire northern part of the Strip (north of Wadi Gaza), and 30% of the southern and central parts of the Strip have been defined by the Israeli army as areas that should be evacuated.
‣ 1.9 million refugees now constitute 85% of the local population.
‣ 1.2 million refugees are in 98 UNRWA shelters in the central and southern parts of the Strip. The price of a tent in the displaced persons camp in Rafah amounts to 1,000 NIS.
‣ Crowding in the southern part of the Strip – 12,500 persons per one square kilometer.
‣ Since October 7th – 170,000 Israelis displaced.

Humanitarian Situation
‣ 55% of the Gaza Strip report extreme hunger. 31% report moderate hunger by international standards.
‣ So far, 500 wounded persons have been evacuated through the Rafah crossing (about 1% of the wounded). 8,000 more wounded persons in critical condition have not been evacuated. 471 persons holding foreign or dual citizenship have also been evacuated.
‣ In the northern part of the Strip there is no medical equipment provision. The hospitals are under siege. 8 of the 36 hospitals are still partly functional (only one in the northern Strip). The hospitals in the southern part of the Strip are filled 3 times more than their maximal capacity.
Bombings
According to CNN relying on American intelligence sources, 45% of the 29,000 bombs dropped on the Gaza Strip from the air have been accurate.
Monday December 11 - The West Bank
Arrests
32 persons arrests, 2 of them women and 3 – minors.
Clashes
1. Husan, west of Bethlehem – raid and confrontations in the eastern entrance to the village. A minor was wounded moderately in the belly by live fire. The Red Crescent team was beaten up by soldiers and detained entering the village.
2. Al Dheisheh refugee camp, south of Bethlehem – raid on the camp during which two brothers were detained and beaten up. One of them was hospitalized later. No arrests.
3. Kobar, north of Ramallah – shooting at a vehicle carrying a family. No damage to the car, no casualties, no arrests.
4. Al-Bireh – night raid on the Satef Marhaba neighborhood, firing teargas canisters and stun grenades. Drones above. No arrests reported.
5. Ya’bad, south-west of Jenin – night raid on houses, searches. Confrontations. One person wounded by live fire.
6. Beitunia, west of Ramallah – raid, two persons arrested, one person wounded by live fire.
Demolitions
1. Bani Naim, east of Hebron – 2-storey residential building demolished for lack of construction permits.
2. Irtas, south of Bethlehem – The Civil Administration escorted by 2 bulldozers demolish a residential cave and farming track.
3. Deir Ballut, west of Salfit – the lands of an archaeological site 2 km. east of the village were confiscated.
Colonist attacks
1. Aqraba, south of Nablus, Khirbet Yanun area – colonists attack olive harvesters and chase them away with live fire.

Monday, December 11 - The Gaza Strip
Killed and wounded
From December 10th at noon to December 11th at noon – 208 persons reported killed, and 415 wounded.
Humanitarian aid
1. On December 11th, 100 aid trucks entered. Food allotment limited to Rafah only.
2. 33 wounded persons and 461 holders of dual citizenship passed through Rafah Crossing into Egypt.
Northern Gaza Strip
1. The maternity ward of Kamal 'Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia was bombed. Two women giving birth were killed, several others wounded. The hospital is under siege, no electricity, water or food. There are 65 persons wounded in the hospital, 12 children among them in intensive care. 6 other children are severely wounded. Present as well are 3,000 refugees and about 100 staff members.
2. Bombings and ground invasions of the Jabalia refugee camp.
3. Ground combat at Shuja'iyya (eastern part of Gaza City).
4. At Sheikh Radwan neighborhood (north-west of Gaza City) a residential building was bombed. Dozens of persons are reported killed, many of them under the rubble.
Central Strip
1. Massive bombing of Nuseirat refugee camp – 5 persons reported killed, 3 children among them.
2. Deir al-Balah – 40 bodies brought to Al Aqsa Hospital in the past 24 hours. 3 persons killed in Deir al-Balah, a mother and her son among them.
3. Al Maghazi refugee camp – bombing. 22 persons killed.
Southern Strip
1. Khan Yunis – bombing around Al Amal Hospital. 32 bodies brought to Al Nasser Hospital in 24 hours. Ground invasion in parts of Khan Yunis.
2. Rafah – bombing even in areas defined by the Israeli army as ‘safe’. 16 persons reported killed in various parts of the city.
Tuesday, December 12 - The West Bank
Killed
1. Fuad Ibrahim, 26-years-old from Jenin – wounded during the raid, died later because of detained medical treatment.
2. Rashed Turkman, 18-years-old from Jenin
3. Ahmad Mohammad Samer, 13-years-old from Al Yamun – died because the ambulance that evacuated him (he had a chronic disease) was not allowed to reach the hospital. His father carried him walking, and he died of his wounds on the way.
4. Mahmud Abu Srur, Jenin
4. Baker Zakharna, Jenin – important activist in the Jenin Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, targeted in the invasion of Jenin. His father suffered a brain hemorrhage when he learned of his son’s death.

7. Thair Abu Al Tin, 18-years-old from Jenin.
Arrests
50 persons arrested throughout the West Bank. 70 more in the Jenin refugee camp, most of whom were released.
Clashes
1. Jenin city and refugee camp – at dawn, drones bombed a group of Palestinians at Sibet neighborhood, among them a wanted man. Four were killed, and another died later of his wounds. Bulldozers raided several neighborhoods in town – infrastructures and vehicles were destroyed. Many raids and arrests, during which confrontations started. Unclear how many were wounded. The army lay siege to the three hospitals in the city and prevented ambulances from approaching. Consequently, another wounded person died and a child denied access died as well. Two journalists are wounded, and a woman giving birth in an ambulance was delayed.
2. Ni'lin, west of Ramallah – raid. Confrontations. 3 persons wounded by live fire.
3. Kobar, north-west of Ramallah – raid, confrontations, 2 persons wounded by live fire, a 14-year-old among them.
4. Silwad, north-east of Ramallah – raid, arrests, physical attack of two persons who later needed medical attention.
5. Al Dhahiriya, south of Hebron – raid using stun grenades and teargas on houses and shops. Military vehicles damaged inhabitants’ vehicles. No report of wounded persons.
6. Kafr Dan, Al Yamun, Silat al-Harithiya, west of Jenin – confrontations. No wounded reported.

Colonist attacks
1. Ein al-Hilweh, northern Palestinian Jordan Valley – colonists steal 30 cows.
2. Ma’in, Masafer Yatta – all roads are blocked so that colonists can enter the site and light up a Hanukkah candelabra.
3. Ka'abne, east of Jerusalem – the Civil Administration escorted by soldiers raided the village and examined construction violations. Some of the soldiers of the ‘Desert Frontier’ unit are colonists involved in previous attacks.
Tuesday, December 12 - The Gaza Strip
Killed and wounded
From December 11th at noon until December 12th at noon, 217 persons were reported killed, and 455 wounded.
Humanitarian aid
1. The Palestinian Health Ministry reported 360,000 cases of infectious diseases at the refugee shelters. Among them: meningitis, chicken pox, hepatitis, impetigo, intestinal illnesses, upper respiratory tract diseases.
2. Rafah Crossing – 207 aid trucks entered.
3. One wounded person and 399 persons holding dual citizenship crossed into Egypt.
4. Kerem Shalom will be opened to let in aid equipment.

Life in a refugee camp
Northern Gaza Strip
1. Beit Lahia – raid of the Kamal 'Adwan Hospital which has been under siege for days. The director of the hospital arrested, 70 staff members taken to an unknown destination. The remaining staff along with the patients were demanded to evacuate the place.
2. Jabalia – massive shelling of 9 UNRWA school that shelter people. An airplane bombed the main gate of the camp’s clinic – 5 persons killed.

4. Al Shuja'iyya – people killed, unclear how many. No access to them by medical teams or anyone at all.

Wednesday, December 13 - The West Bank
Killed
1. Kassem Zidan, 29-years-old from Jenin
Arrests
36 persons arrested throughout the West Bank, another 68 in Jenin city and refugee camp.
Clashes
1. Jenin city and refugee camp – the raid continues non-stop for the second day running. All day it expanded to more neighborhoods. Residential buildings and a hair salon were bombed with anti-tank missiles. The eastern neighborhood has been surrounded from all sides and confrontations broke out.
A resident of the neighborhood was shot in the head and killed. In the camp itself, two houses were shelled and the army prevented firefighters from accessing the site and controlling the fire. Massive arrest operation.

Wednesday, December 13 - The Gaza Strip
Killed and wounded
From December 12th noon until December 13th noon – 196 persons reported killed, 499 wounded.
Humanitarian aid
1. Limited food distribution in Rafah alone.
2. Rafah and Kerem Shalom Crossings – 152 trucks passed. An increase compared to previous days (100 a day), but still less than the average prior to October 7th (500 trucks a day).
3. Rafah Crossing – 268 persons with dual citizenship entered Egypt. No wounded persons passed today.
Northern Strip
1. Jabalia refugee camp – once again a school was bombed sheltering refugees. At least 6 persons killed.

Thursday, December 14 - The West Bank

1. Jenin city and refugee camp – It is the third day of the army’s activity in the camp. A drone bombed a group of Palestinians in the eastern neighborhood (under siege). 3 persons killed, 10 wounded, 3 of them in severe condition. 5 anti-tank missiles were fired at a house in the Al Daraj neighborhood in the camp, other houses were raided, one of them went up in flames. Another person killed today in clashes at the eastern neighborhood.
Israeli soldiers were filmed humiliating arrestees, making them listen to Hannukah songs on the mosque loudspeakers and riding their motorcycles in the camp.
Since the raid began, 12 persons have been killed, 35 wounded, of them 3 in critical condition.

Friday, December 15 - The West Bank
Clashes

2. Wadi Joz, East Jerusalem – For the 10th Friday in a row, the number of people coming to pray at Al Aqsa is severely restricted. They gather in the streets of Wadi Joz and Ras Al Amoud neighborhoods.
Attack against the photojournalist
The Israeli Border Policemen have attacked people at prayer and media workers trying to monitor them. The attack against photo journalist Mustafa Al Kharuf was documented – he was later hospitalized with a head wound.

3. Shweiqa, north of Tulkarem – raid during which confrontations ensued, and a 14-year-old was wounded by live fire.
4. Al Ein refugee camp, west of Nablus – raid with massive gunfire. 2 persons wounded by live fire, a vehicle confiscated.

Friday, December 15 - The Gaza Strip
For the second day running, all communication and internet systems in the central and southern strip have collapsed, and the Red Crescent organization has totally lost contact with its operations room in the Gaza Strip and with its teams on the ground. Consequently, much difficulty ensues gathering data on persons killed and wounded.
Humanitarian aid
1. Rafah Crossing – 115 aid trucks enter from Egypt. 69 wounded persons and 543 persons with dual citizenship cross over to Egypt.
Northern Strip
1. Gaza City – during the morning, massive bombing of the city and its neighborhoods.
‣ Al Zeitun in the east – drones assault passersby – 15 persons killed. Ambulances could not arrive and rescue the wounded. 6 houses bombed – at least 10 persons killed. Artillery used against houses on Salah A-Din Street as well – people wounded.
‣ Shuja'iyya in the east – aerial bombing of the market and 10 houses – 9 persons killed, 25 wounded.
‣ Al Daraj – heavy artillery fire among other targets against a school serving as shelter – 4 persons killed, 9 wounded, most of them children.
‣ Al Sabha area – aerial bombing and tank artillery. 20 persons killed. 25 arrestees, 15-22-years-old.
‣ Sheikh Radwan, in the north – heavy fire by drones, tank artillery. People killed. Unclear how many.

The killed photographer
Among the wounded, AL Jazeera journalist Wael Al Daoud whose family (wife, son, daughter and granddaughter) was killed a year ago in Nuseirat refugee camp. Among the killed is the photographer who accompanied him, Samer Abu Daka. The rescue teams could not get to him and he bled for 5 hours until he died. He had sent his family to Belgium earlier. His son dedicated a song to him.
2. Rafah – bombings of the shoreline from the sea. A bombing around the Kuweit Hospital, killing and wounding 5 persons.
Saturday, December 16 - The West Bank
Killed
1. Hamza Ibrahim Bshaker, 30-years-old from Askar refugee camp. Shot last night close to Huwara.
2. Aziz Abed Al Rahim Al Halil, 20-years-old from Beit Ummar.
3. Salah Nasser Khajer, 25-years-old from Shuweika.
4. Ziad Atallah, 16-years-old from the Deir 'Ammar refugee camp.
Arrests
23 persons arrested, among them a journalist and a woman cancer patient.
Clashes
1. Beit Ummar, north of Hebron – raid and confrontations, during which an inhabitant was killed.
2. Deir Al Ghusun, north of Tulkarem – gunfire at a youngster accompanying his arrested brother. Wounded and died some hours later.
3. Deir 'Ammar refugee camp, north-wet of Ramallah – raid and confrontations. 3 persons wounded by live fire. One of them, a minor, later died of his wounds.

Colonist attacks
1. Tuba, Masafer Yatta – colonists attack shepherds and chase them away.
2. A Thal’a, Masafer Yatta – colonists attack the community at midnight, vandalize property and threaten the people.
3. Kafr Thulth, south of Qalqilya – colonist attack olive harvesters with stones. 2 persons wounded.
4. Mu'arrajat, west of Jericho – colonist throw stones at the community, return during the night and harass the inhabitant.

Saturday, December 12 - The Gaza Strip
Killed and wounded
Today, too, difficult to get data on total number of the killed and wounded because of the collapse of communication and internet systems.
Humanitarian aid
1. Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City – a delegation of the World Health Organization managed to come and provide medical equipment for the 500 patients hospitalized there.
2. Rafah Crossing – 121 aid trucks entered. 471 persons with dual citizenship exited the Strip. No wounded persons were passed into Egypt.
Northern Strip
1. Jabalia – A house bombed. At least 14 persons killed. Many buried under the rubble. The Kamal 'Adwan under siege for the 8th day, babies in incubator are in danger by lack of water, food and electricity supply. Snipers shoot anyone moving. The army bombed and destroyed the southern part of the hospital.

According to media reports, Israeli bulldozers trampled tents of displaced persons in the hospital yard over their inhabitants. Unclear how many were killed.

2. Al Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City – bombing of a building of the Christian Youth where 300 displaced persons were staying. 6 persons killed.
3. Al Zeitun, east of Gaza City – snipers fired at a church that housed 600 displaced persons. A mother and her daughter were killed, 7 persons wounded.
Central Strip
1. Al Burj – house bombed, 4 persons killed and 10 wounded.
2. Deir al-Balah – aerial bombing of an UNRWA school. People killed, unclear how many.
3. Nuseirat refugee camp – a neighborhood near the mosque bombed. People were killed, their number uncertain. Many are buried under the rubble.
Southern Strip
1. Khan Yunis – yesterday during the attempts to rescue the Al Jazeera photographer, two civilian rescue team members were killed. In a bombing of a building around the university, at least 5 persons killed.
2. Rafah – bombing of the shoreline. Bombing of a multi-storey building, number of killed unknown.
