Monday. Dawn. Israeli army forces, border police and ISA (Shabak – Israeli Security Agency) raid the refugee camp south-west of Jericho. The camp and the city have already been under severe movement restrictions for ten days. Searches are conducted in homes, a resident is arrested, and confrontations begin. Fire exchanges.

Jibril, activist of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, is shot in the head. He falls, bleeding heavily. A video documenting his wounding shows the army using live fire and preventing medical teams from approaching. Nor is the army extending first aid. He bleeds to death. A Palestinian ambulance arrives very late, only after being permitted to do so.

6 others were wounded that day, 3 of them in critical condition. The army retreated, holding weapons that have been confiscated. There are no details about the circumstances of Jibril’s life or family, other than the fact that his older brother was an administrative detainee at the time.

17-years old, a resistance fighter. Shot in the head.
