Data about the West Bank - October 7th, 2023 - May 29th, 2024

This is a partial report, an update of the previous report, and is based on the OCHA OPT weekly report.


Killed

‣ 503 Palestinians killed, 122 minors among them;

‣ 12 Israelis were killed in the West Bank, 8 of them in military service.


Wounded

‣ 5,150 Palestinians were injured, 4,800 of them by the army;

‣ 110 Israelis were injured, 75 soldiers among them.


Arrests

‣ 8,955 persons arrested since October 7th, 2023.


Demolitions and displaced persons

‣ 1,993 displaced persons, due to demolition of houses, 870 minors among them;

‣ At least half of them in military operations.

‣ Additionally: 1,378 Palestinians were displaced (656 of them were minors), from 25 shepherds or Bedouin communities in areas C, due to colonists violence and army abuse.


Colonists violence

In incidents involving colonists, 31 Palestinians were killed, 6 minors among them, and over 500 persons were injured.


Being Palestinian in Masafer Yatta


‣ 43,000 trees uprooted or vandalized;

‣ 12 Palestinians were shot and killed by colonists.

‣ The outcome of the raid on Jenin, on May 21-23, 2024:

◦ 40 hours;

◦ 12 persons killed (4 minors among them);

◦ 21 persons wounded;

◦ Damage of NIS 30 million (according to Jenin Municipality);

◦ 1,300 meters of water and sewage pipes were vandalized by army bulldozers;

◦ 23,600 residents were left 3 days without water or power. 40% of them are still without running water or power.

This is an update of the previous report.


Beit Lahia



Killed

‣ 36,224 Palestinians were killed;

‣ At least 10,000 are missing;

‣ 290 Israeli soldiers were killed in ground warfare;

‣ 39 captives' bodies are held in Gaza;

‣ About 1,300 Israeli citizens and foreign nationals were killed on October 7, 2023.


Wounded

‣ 81,777 Palestinians were injured;

‣ 1,831 Israeli soldiers were injured in ground warfare;

‣ About 5,400 Israeli citizens and foreign nationals were injured on October 7, 2023.

Captives

‣ About 125 captives are still being held in Gaza, 39 of them were confirmed dead.


Arrests

‣ According to the State's reply to the Supreme Court, about 4,000 Gazans were arrested:

◦ of which 1,500 were released;

◦ The State should reply to the Supreme Court regarding the formation of a Monitoring Committee for the conditions of detention in correctional facilities, following the petition of the Committee Against Torture;

◦ 2,000 of the detainees were formally imprisoned.

Aid missions

‣ During May:

◦ 31 out of 72 coordinated missions were carried out in the northern Strip;

◦ 122 out of 236 in the southern Strip;

◦ The Rafah crossing has been closed since May 6, and the sick and the wounded cannot be evacuated.

 

Tuesday, May 21 – The West Bank

Killed

1. Dr. Asil Kamal Jabarin, 51 years old, Jenin.

2. Bassem Mahmoud Tarcaman, 53 years old, Jenin refugee camp.

3. Muamar Muhammad Abu Amira, 50 years old, Jenin.

4. Amir Imad Abu Amira, 22 years old, Jenin.

5. Osama Muhammad Heijar, 16 years old, Jenin refugee camp.

6. Aala Ziad Jadat, 18 years old, Jenin refugee camp.

7. Mahmoud Amjad Hamdat, 15 years old, Jenin.

8. Jihad Taleb Abu Hamed, 38 years old, Jenin refugee camp.


Raids and arrests

In the night and day, the following localities were raided by the Israeli army: Sinjil, Azzun, Jalamah, Tuqu’a, Sa’ir, Yatta, Al Shuyukh, Tubas, Tammun, Qusra, Tarqumiyah, Asira ash-Shamaliya, Beit Ummar, Nablus, Deir Abu Mash'al, Jenin and Jenin refugee camp, Jayus, Burqin, Al Bireh, Atuf, Shuafat refugee camp, Dura, Ni’lin, Al Arroub refugee camp. At least 15 Palestinians were arrested, 2 women among them. One of them, the wife of an administrative detainee, was injured during the arrest and was hospitalized in intensive care. In addition, 20 young persons, mostly minors, were detained in Sinjil for a night of physical violent interrogations. All were released.


Clashes

1. Tubas - a night raid, followed by prolonged clashes. Exchange of fire. improvised explosive charges. Clashes spread to nearby Tammun (south of Tubas). Another raid and more clashes 12 hours later.

2. Tarqumiyah - west of Hebron, night raid and clashes.

3. Sa'ir - north-east of Hebron, night raid. Tear gas. The gas grenades set agricultural fields on fire.



4. Burqin - west of Jenin, clashes during a night raid.

5. Asira ash-Shamaliya - north-west of Nablus, night raid and demolition of a garden.

6. Jenin and Jenin refugee camp - in the morning, when students were on their way to school, and people to work, a special forces raid followed by military reinforcements and bulldozers. A total of about 1000 soldiers.



Demolition of the house of a Shahid who was involved in an attack. Demolition of infrastructure, siege of the government hospital and shooting at ambulances and people in the hospital yard. Soldiers took over houses, turning them into military posts, from which snipers shot at residents. Severe clashes including fierce exchange of fire and 14 improvised explosive charges.



8 persons killed, including a surgeon on his way to the hospital, a teacher on his way to work, a student riding his bicycle on his way to school and another minor. The army denied access of ambulances and even shot at first aid personnel. 18 injured, among them 3 seriously. Among the injured: a paramedic, a journalist and school students.


The raid continued the following day, and according to the army will continue for several days. Extensive damage to infrastructure, houses and vehicles. Trading stops.



7. Qawawis - Masafer Yatta, one more attack on the same elderly shepherd who had already been attacked several times, drove him away from his land and detained him.

8. Beit Ummar - north of Hebron, raid. Tear gas at a school. Suffocation injuries of students. One person wounded by a live gunshot, in moderate condition.

9. Al Bireh - raid on the quarter of the cafes and the mosque. Clashes. Tear gas and stun grenades.

10. Al Arroub refugee camp - north of Hebron, raid before midnight. Tear gas. Suffocation injuries.


Attacks against the army

1. Beka’ot - north of the Palestinian Jordan Valley - shooting at a police car.

2. Kafr Dan - west of Jenin - improvised explosive charge on a military vehicle.


Colonists attacks

1. Ras Al Ain - north of Jericho - colonists block Palestinians from accessing water sources through blockades.

2. Mu’arrajat - north-west of Jericho - colonists attack vehicles.

 

Tuesday, May 21 – The Gaza Strip

‣ 5 fatal attacks;

‣ 85 killed;

‣ 200 wounded;

‣ 2 soldiers were seriously injured in East Rafah;

‣ 24 hours.


Attacks against Israel

1. Rockets on Ashkelon and Zikim.


Northern Strip

1. Beit Lahia:

Beit Lahia. She left for shopping in the market, and returned. Her entire family was killed


‣ Bombing a house, 3 persons killed, children among them. Another attack on a building where displaced persons are housed;



‣ Kamal Adwan Hospital under siege. Artillery hits the emergency room. It stopped functioning. Evacuation of displaced persons, staff and hospitalized. 13 hospitalized could not be evacuated and 20 staff members were left with them, under siege without water, power and food.

2. Jabalia refugee camp - still the epicenter of warfare. Heavy artillery and aerial bombardment in the Tel al-Zaatar area.

3. Gaza City:


‣ Al Sabra neighborhood - 6 persons killed, including a baby, in a shelling of a house;

‣ Al Tufah neighborhood - 4 persons killed in the shelling of a house;

‣ Al Zeitoun - helicopter and artillery fire;

‣ Al Daraj neighborhood - shelling of a house. Unknown number of casualties, children among them;

‣ Shelling from the sea on the west of the city;

‣ Tel Al Hawa – Artillery.


Central Strip

1. Al Bureij refugee camp:

‣ Night air raid and bombardment of fields north of the camp;

‣ Aerial bombardment of a residential building - injured.

2. Nuseirat refugee camp - artillery north of the camp.


Southern Strip

1. Abasan Al Kabira  - north-east of Khan Yunis, 4 persons killed, 3 children among them, in shelling of 2 houses.

2. Khan Yunis - shelling from the sea on the west side of the city.

3. Khuza'a - east of Khan Yunis, artillery. Injuries.

4. Rafah - epicenter of battles is mainly in the east. Air, sea and artillery attacks on all sections of the city:

‣ Downtown - bombing of a group of people. 3 children were killed. Air raids during the day;

‣ East side of the city - battles, aerial bombardments at night and during the day. 2 soldiers were seriously injured. heavy artillery;

‣ West side of the city - air raid.

 

Tuesday, May 21 – Northern Israeli Border

Attacks against Israel

1. Missiles on a military base in Western Galilee.

2. Anti-tanks direct hit at Dov mountain.

3. Anti-tanks hit at Margaliot.

4. Anti-tanks hit at Malkia.

5. Anti-tanks hit at Bar’am.

6. Rounds of sirens in Northern Galilee.


Attacks against South Lebanon

1. Drone attack on Al Jebbayn.

2. Drone attack on Yaroun.

3. 2 air raids on Ayta ash Shab.

Wednesday, May 22 – The West Bank

Killed

1. Samih Al Kaissy, 18 years old, Jenin.

2. Muhammad Fares Al-Kareini, 17 years old, Jenin refugee camp.

3. Wasim Jaradat, 15 years old, Jenin.

4. Moustafa Ibrahim Jabarin, 30 years old, Jenin.


Raids and arrests

In the night and day, the following localities were raided by the Israeli army: Jenin (sequel), Shuafat refugee camp (sequel), Rummanah, Hebron, ‘Aida refugee camp, Za'atara, Beit Ummar, Al Fawwar refugee camp, Ni’lin, Qalqilya, Al Arroub refugee camp, Kafr Dan, Qabalan, Idna, A Ram. 10 persons arrested, 2 women among them.

Clashes

1. Jenin - the second day of the raid. Power outage. Confrontations. Exchange of fire and improvised explosive charges (about 20). 3 houses blown. Turning the camp community center into a military post. Raids on houses. Continued destruction of infrastructure, squares, and monuments.



4 more persons killed, including 2 minors. 20 more injured, 2 in serious condition among them. The hospital is under siege, ambulances being shot at.

36 hours, 12 persons killed, 35 wounded (all by live bullets), 5 in serious condition.

2. Qalqilya - night raid. Snipers on rooftops. The parents of a wanted person were arrested (his 13-year-old brother was arrested a week ago) to put pressure on him to turn himself in.

3. Idna - west of Hebron, raid. Tear gas.

4. A Ram - north of Jerusalem, raid. Tear gas.


Attacks against the army

1. Jaba’ – south-west of Jenin, shooting at a military force.


Demolition

1. Duma - south-east of Nablus, construction stop and demolition orders for several houses, agricultural sheds, and electricity and telephone infrastructure.

2. Sheikh Jarrah - East Jerusalem, bulldozers destroyed 4 dunams of land for a stage complex for the Meron, Shimon HaTsadik, celebration. Traffic restrictions on the neighborhood.


Colonists attacks

1. Asira al-Qibliya - south of Nablus, colonists shoot and try to set the courtyard of the houses on fire.



2. Taybeh intersection - east of Ramallah, colonists grazing on Palestinian lands.

3. Maghayer Al Dir - east of Ramallah, an attempt to build a new outpost.

4. Al Aqsa - a woman and her partner try to smuggle a lamb to be slaughtered in the Al Aqsa compound, while pretending to be pregnant, and the lamb is held close to her stomach. The lamb died of suffocation.



‣ Defense Minister Yoav Gallant cancelled the disengagement order for several colonies in the Jenin area. This means that those evicted colonies will all be recolonized.
 

Wednesday, May 22 – The Gaza Strip

‣ 6 fatal attacks;

‣ 62 killed;

‣ 138 wounded;

‣ 3 Israeli soldiers were killed in Beit Hanoun;

‣ 25 soldiers were injured during the day, 3 of them seriously;

‣ 30 detainees were released, most of them in serious physical condition. They were tortured, according to reports;

‣ 24 hours.

1. Jabalia refugee camp:

‣ burning houses and shops;

‣ Heavy artillery and battles;

‣ Artillery on a school where displaced persons take shelter;

‣ Shooting at displaced persons - 4 persons killed.

2. Jabalia Al Balad:

‣ 6 dead dead recovered from ruins of a house;

‣ In Al-Faluja neighborhood - demolition of a 5-story building.

2. Beit Hanoun - ambush. 3 soldiers were killed and 3 were seriously injured.

3. Gaza City:

‣ North side of the city - 6 family members killed;

‣ Sheikh Ijlin neighborhood - heavy machine gun fire;

‣ Al Sabra neighborhood - south side of the city - 2 persons killed and several wounded;

‣ Al Zeitoun neighborhood - 10 persons killed and 33 injured in bombing of a group of people near a gas station;



‣ Tel Al Hawa – one person killed.


Central Strip

1. Al Zawaida - air raid. 12 persons killed, at least 4 children, a pregnant woman among them. The fetus thrown from her body by the force of the impact. Everyone is displaced.


2. Al Bureij Refugee Camp - Artillery.



3. Al Zahara – one person killed.

4. Al Mughraqa – one woman killed in an aerial bombardment.

5. Nuseirat refugee camp - 8 persons killed in the bombing of a house.


Southern Strip

1. Rafah:

‣ East side of the city - fierce battles;

‣ Shooting from helicopters;

‣ South side of the city - night air bombardment;

‣ West side of the city - drones attack fishing boats;

‣ In Tel Al Sultan, bombing of an apartment building;

‣ One person killed in a shelling near the Kuwaiti hospital;

Raids and arrests

In the night and day, the following localities were raided by the Israeli army: Jenin and Jenin refugee camp, Beit Ummar, Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, Dhahiriya, Kafr Ain, Qalqilya, Nablus, Beit Fajjar, Kobar, A Ram, Arraba, Hebron, Al-Aizariya, Al Funduq, Nabi Ilyas, Al Bireh, Zububa, Qaffin, Husan, Ya’bad. At least 20 persons arrested.

Clashes

1. Jenin and the Jenin camp - shortly after midnight, special forces raid a medical center in the camp. Clashes, one person wounded by live bullet. They target Al Jazeera staff and seiged the hotel where the reporters were staying. Withdraw. According to the mayor of Jenin - the cost of the damage is estimated at NIS 30 million.



2. Qalqilya - a raid. Bulldozer begins demolition operations.

3. Al Ein refugee camp – Nablus, conflicts. Exchange of fire and improvised explosive charges.

4. Jayus - North-east of Qalqilya, 2 minors were injured by live ammunition near the separation wall.

5. Beit Fajjar - south-east of Bethlehem, raid. Clashes.

6. A Ram - north of Jerusalem, tear gas and rubber bullets near the school complex.

7. Al Aizariya - east of Jerusalem, raid. Tear gas.


8. Qaffin - north of Tulkarm, raid. A 49-year-old woman was injured by a live bullet.

9. Husan - west of Bethlehem, night raid on the eastern side, tear gas and stun grenades.


Colonists attacks

1. Beita - south of Nablus, colonists attack a truck carrying flour.


2. Beit Dajan - east of Nablus, colonists set greenhouses on fire.


3. Beit El checkpoint - north of Ramallah, colonists attack a truck carrying flour.



4. Susia - Masafer Yatta, attempt to set a house on fire, using an improvised fire bomb in the dead of night. The day before, a colonist threatened the father of the family with murder. The police chose not to act.

5. Al Auja - north of Jericho, 15 colonists establish an outpost about 300 m from Al Auja Spring.

 

Thursday, May 23 – The Gaza Strip

‣ 9 fatal attacks;

‣ 91 killed;

‣ 210 wounded;

‣ 2 soldiers were injured, 1 seriously, in Beit Hanoun;

‣ 30 soldiers were injured, 8 seriously, during the last two days;

‣ 24 hours.


Attacks against Israel

1. Rockets on Kerem Shalom.

Northern Strip

1. Gaza City:

‣ Al Sabra neighborhood - bombing of a mosque. At least 10 persons killed, 5 children among them. All displaced persons;



‣ Al Daraj neighborhood (city center) - shelling of a 4-story building. At least 16 persons killed, 10 children among them;



‣ Tel El Hawa - A woman and her daughter were shot to death;

‣ Sheikh Radwan neighborhood - 2 persons killed in aerial bombardment;



‣ Shuja'iya - artillery;

‣ City center - another bombing of a house - 5 persons killed;

‣ Al Zeitoun - machine gun fire.

2. Jabalia:

‣ Al Awda Hospital is closed. 11 wounded persons, 14 staff members and 2 accompanying children left inside;

‣ Battles in the east side of the camp. Heavy artillery.

3. Beit Lahia - several air raids during the night.

4. Beit Hanoun:

‣ Under siege for the last 12 days;

‣ 2 soldiers were injured in battles.


Central Strip

1. Deir Al Balah - bombings on the west and the east:

‣ Power outage at Al Aqsa Hospital. The fuel has run out. The hospital provides services to 1,200 wounded and sick;

‣ Aerial bombardment of displaced persons – 12 persons killed.

2. Nuseirat refugee camp - artillery on the power plant area, north of the camp.

3. Al Bureij Refugee Camp – Artillery.

1. Rafah:

‣ West side of the city - Tel Al Sultan neighborhood, 1 woman killed and several injured in aerial bombardment;

‣ Downtown - Battles;

‣ South side of the city - battles near the border with Egypt;

‣ East side of the city - battles.

2. Khan Yunis:

‣ Artillery north of the city;

‣ Parachuted aid packages hit people on the ground. Several wounded, one seriously;

‣ Shelling from the sea - 2 persons killed.

 

Thursday, May 23 – Northern Israeli Border

Attacks against Israel

1. Rockets on Safed.

2. Barrage on the Upper Galilee.

3. Rockets attack ignite fires near Ayelet HaShahar.



4. Direct hit at Avivim.

5. Direct hit at the Metula. In another round, 2 anti-tank missiles hit tanks in Metula (no casualties).

6. Rocket barrage on Kiryat Shmona and its surroundings. Power outage due to damage. Sirens.

7. Rockets in Beit Hillel. Fires.



8. Anti-tank missile on Shetula.

9. Anti-tank missiles on Dov mountain.

10. Alarms in Kfar Gil’adi.

11. A drone in the Golan.

12. Sirens in 30 colonies - several times.

1. A drone hits a car near Nabatieh. 1 person killed. Children injured in a shuttle bus that passed nearby.

Friday, May 24 – The West Bank

Raids and arrests

In the night and day, the following localities were raided by the Israeli army: Al Bireh, Beitunia, Nablus, Balata refugee camp, A Ram, Kafr Qallil, Arraba, Sebastia, Tammun, Asira al-Qibliya, Qabatiya, Hebron, Umm Safa, Al Khader. At least 8 persons arrested.

Clashes

1. Balata refugee camp - east of Nablus, a night raid. A bulldozer begans to destroy infrastructure. Clashes. The forces use live ammunition, and the residents use improvised explosive charge.

2. Kafr Qallil - south of Nablus, clashes during a raid. Live ammunition. Arrests.

3. Nablus - clashes on Al Quds Street. A minor was injured by live bullet.

4. Al Bireh - clashes during a raid. A 15-year-old was injured by live bullet.

5. Hebron - raid in the southern side of the city. Tear gas. Suffocation injuries.

6. Umm Safa - north of Ramallah, clashes at the entrance to the village. The forces use stun guns and tear gas. A fire broke out.

7. Silwad - north-east of Ramallah, shooting at a Palestinian vehicle.

8. El Khader - south of Bethlehem, clashes in the Old City area. Tear gas and stun grenades.


Attacks against colonists

1. Al Khader – south of Bethlehem, stones thrown on private vehicles.


Colonists attacks

1. Mu’arrajat - north-west of Jericho, colonists raid the community in the dead of night and steal 25 sheep.



2. Jalud - south-east of Nablus, colonists began leveling a land with a bulldozer. It seems as a preparation for a takeover. The land is located a few meters away from residents' houses in the southern side of the village.

3. Umm Safa - north of Ramallah, about 30 colonists established a new outpost on Jabel Al Ras.

4. Umm Al Kaaba - North of the Palestinian Jordan Valley, colonists damage 80 sacks of hay and straw, food for sheep.

5. Al Khader - south of Bethlehem, armed colonists attack a Palestinian farmer while he was picking vine leaves in his land. They steal the leaves he picked during a day's work and drive him off his land.

6. Jiljilyya - north-west of Ramallah, colonists raid the spring and the cemetery.

 

Friday, May 24 – The Gaza Strip

‣ 6 fatal attacks;

‣ 57 killed;

‣ 93 wounded;

‣ 9 soldiers were injured, one of them seriously;

‣ The bodies of three abductees: Michel Nisenbaum, Hanan Yablonka and Orión Hernández Radoux were recovered from Rafah;

‣ 24 hours.


Attacks against Israel

1. Rockets on Netiv Ha’Asara.


Northern Strip

1. Gaza City:

‣ 10 persons killed in an aerial bombardment;

‣ Al Zeitoun - artillery and battles;

‣ Shuja'iya - shelling of a house;

‣ South of the city - heavy machine gun fire from Netzarim road;

‣ Al Tufah neighborhood - an elderly man was killed;

‣ Aerial bombardment on Sheikh Ijlin neighborhood;

‣ Aerial bombardment on Tel El Hawa;

‣ Shelling of a house (city center) - 8 dead including women and children.

2. Jabalia:

‣ A night air raid. A fire broke out;

‣ Artillery during the night;

‣ The bodies of 5 people were recovered from the ruins of a house that was shelled the night before;

‣ 180 displaced persons were arrested in the displaced persons compound.

3. Jabalia Al Balad - Faluja area, aerial bombardment and artillery.

4. Beit Lahia - ground attack on Kamal Adwan hospital, the last functioning hospital in the north of the Gaza Strip. The hospital is not functioning anymore.


Central Strip

1. Nuseirat refugee camp - 2 persons killed in a drone strike. Artillery on the north side of the camp.

2. Al Zawaida - shelling from the sea.

3. Juhor Ad-Dik - Artillery.

4. Deir al-Balah – Drones attacks.

Friday, May 24 – Northern Israeli Border

Attacks against Israel

1. Safed. Missile interception. A fire broke out due to falling debris.



2. A drone explodes in Kiryat Shmona.

3. Direct rockets hit at Kiryat Shmona.

4. A barrage of rockets on Malkia.

5. Direct hit at Margaliot.

6. Dovev - direct hit and extensive damage to several houses.

7. Drone attack on Shetula.

8. Direct hit near Giv'at Yo'av, in the southern Golan.

Saturday, May 25 – The West Bank

Raids and arrests

In the night and day, the following localities were raided by the Israeli army: Dura, Silwad, Qalqilya, Jit, Sinjil, Burqa, Bizzariya, Salem, Tulkarm, Ramin, Yabrud, Beit Ummar, Al Fawwar refugee camp, Faqqua, Beit Rima, Qarawat Bani Hassan, Azzun Jalbun, Hebron, Burka, Anabta. At least 18 persons arrested, 3 minors among them.

1. Burqa - north-west of Nablus, night raid. Clashes. Activation of an improvised explosive charge.

2. Al Fawwar refugee camp - south of Hebron, night raid and clashes.

4. Beit Rima - north-west of Ramallah, raid and clashes. Ambulance denied access.

5. Azzun - east of Qalqilya, clashes at the entrance to the town.

6. Hebron - evening raid in several neighborhoods. Tear gas was fired massively and at a car. A minor in the car was moderately injured.




Colonists Attacks

1. Hebron - Friday night, colonists throw stones at Palestinian houses and chant profanity slogans, in the Wadi al-Hussein area (east side of the city).

2. Al Maniya - south-east of Bethlehem, colonists attack and steal a wheat crop.

3. Bani Na’im - east of Hebron, council workers were attacked by colonists while working on water pipeline infrastructure. The deputy head of the council was injured in the attack.

4. Qusra - south-east of Nablus, colonists attack in the south-eastern part of the town. According to the Palestinians, with live ammunition. Clashes. The army, who backed the colonists, responds with live ammunition as well. A 29-year-old resident of the town was wounded by a live shot in his stomach.

5. Sheikh Jarrah - East Jerusalem, residents of the neighborhood are under strict restrictions during the Meron celebration, part of the Lag BaOmer Shimon HaTsadik celebration.

6. Kisan - East of Bethlehem, Al Zeitouna area. Colonists steal feed for sheep and agricultural equipment.

7. Dhaher al 'Abed - south-west of Jenin, colonists cut down 15 olive trees.

 

Saturday, May 25 – The Gaza Strip

Clashes

1. Jenin - again… night raid. Bulldozer and snipers. The bulldozer destroys infrastructure and a bakery. Clashes. Exchange of fire, improvised explosive charges. A raid on a Red Crescent clinic, and destruction of its contents. The forces left in the morning.



2. Shuafat refugee camp - north-east Jerusalem, night raid and clashes.

3. The old Askar refugee camp - east of Nablus, night raid and clashes.

4. Al Arroub refugee camp - north of Hebron, clashes. 2 residents wounded by live bullets.

5. Deir Ballut - west of Salfit, a Palestinian stops his car at the checkpoint for an ID check. The forces beat him, and he was rushed to the hospital, suffering from fractures and bruises.

6. Tuqu’a - south-east of Bethlehem, clashes. No injuries were reported.

7. Qusra - south-east of Nablus, raid. Clashes. Multiple suffocation injuries. 2 minors were arrested.

8. Udala - south of Nablus, clashes during a raid.

9. Husan - west of Bethlehem, raid. Tear gas at the center of the village.

1. Beit Einun intersection - north-east of Hebron, 14 year old boy tries to stab soldiers and is shot. The forces denied medical aid, and he bled to death.

1. A Ram - north of Jerusalem, demolition orders for buildings, houses, and shops, to broaden a road on which Palestinians can drive only with a special permit. “For Jews only” kind of road.

Sunday, May 26 – The Gaza Strip

Southern Strip

‣ In the City Center - shelling of a family home - 6 persons killed;

‣ North-west side of the city - night bombing of a displaced persons camp in Tel Al Sultan. The target: 2 wanted Hamas persons. A fire broke out and 45 Palestinians killed, 23 children and women among them. 249 persons were injured.

In the night and day, the following localities were raided by the Israeli army: Beita, Hebron, Surif, Kafr Dan, Beit Ummar, Shuafat refugee camp, Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, A Samu, Tammun, Rantis, Jalbun, Baqat al-Hatab, Madama, Al Aizariya, Al Arroub refugee camp, Burqa. At least 14 persons arrested, 1 minor among them.

‣ The Detainee (since May 21) Wafa Jarrar who is hospitalized in intensive care, due to injuries sustained during her arrest, was transferred to administrative detention for 4 months. She is still in intensive care.

‣ 30 Palestinians were detained when they tried to cross the separation wall between Tulkarm and Bat Hefer.


Clashes

1. Kafr Dan - west of Jenin, night raid. Clashes. Improvised explosive charge. The forces set 3 cars on fire.



2. Madama - south of Hebron, clashes during a raid. Palestinians throw stones and bottles of paint at military vehicles.
