Wednesday, February 14 - The West Bank


Nihal Ziad Brighaith, 16-years-old from Beit Ummar.


18 persons arrested, a 13-year-old and a woman among them.

1. Beit Ummar, north of Hebron - raid and serious confrontations. A 16-year-old killed (shot in the head), 18 persons wounded, 11 of them by live fire (9 of them minors!), 7 wounded by rubber-coated bullets, dozens of suffocations. By reports, most of the persons wounded were friends of the wounded minors trying to rescue him and wounded by sniper fire.

2. Ein Sukkut, northern Palestinian Jordan Valley - soldiers chase shepherds from their grazing grounds, threatening them with gunfire.

3. Zeita, north of Tulkarm - raid from the west. Situation in village center and searches. Confrontations ensued. Live fire and teargas. No casualties reported.

4. Deir Ballut, west of Salfit - soldiers rowing boats in rain water in order… to remove a Palestine flag and hang up an Israeli flag instead. Then confiscated construction equipment, arrested 4 persons.

5. Arraba, south of Jenin - arrest of a 13-year-old after his home was searched.

1. Dotan Checkpoint, south-west of Jenin - live fire.

2. Meirav, east of Jenin - live fire at an army patrol.


1. Silwan, Al Bustan neighborhood - Fakhri Abu Diab’s home demolished (a researcher at the information center of East Jerusalem, and activist involved in planning construction regulation), a house inhabited by 10 persons who were expelled into the street that morning.


2. Sinjil, north-east of Ramallah - an army bulldozer damages the town’s main water pipe.



1. Khirbet Al Farisiya, northern Palestinian Jordan Valley - colonists raided Palestinian farmland and had their cattle graze there, destroying plants.

2. Umm al-Khair, Masafer Yatta - a colonist chases away shepherds from grazing ground.

3. Khirbet al Majaz, Masafer Yatta - a helicopter lands, 25 soldiers disembarking, raid homes, vandalize equipment, scare livestock (16 sheep died in fright), break doors, tear sheep feed sacks, confiscate cell phones, arrest two persons. Colonists raid the mosque, break down doors, tear up a Koran, use the mosque loudspeakers to sound curses and threats, left threatening inscriptions.

4. Kifl Haris, north-west of Salfit - colonists hold nocturnal pilgrimage to the tomb of Joshua Bin Nun. The entire village under curfew. The colonists call out curses and slurs.

Wednesday, February 14 - The Gaza Strip

Sidra Hassouna - 7-years-old. Killed along with 8 family members (including her twin sister and brother, one-year-and three-months-old) on the bombing night (February 12th) in Rafah. The picture of her cut up body hanging from the bombed house and her story have gone viral. Except in Israel. A Google search of her name in Hebrew yields nothing. An English-language Google search tells the whole story.


The Gaza Strip - Naim Abu Sha’er went out to look for flour outside his home at Deir Al Balah. Coming back, he realized his home was bombed and his entire family killed.


Thursday, February 15 - The West Bank


About 20 persons arrested.

1.Ramallah, city center - destruction and sealing of two printing presses. Confrontations, 2 persons wounded by live fire.

2. Beitunia, west of Ramallah - lathe-shop raided, contents vandalized and equipment confiscated. Confrontations. Live fire and stun grenades. No casualties reported.

3. Tulkarm - night raid from west on houses, playground, commercial complex. Indiscriminate gunfire at vehicles. Confrontations.

4. Qalqilya - night raid. No casualties or arrests reported.

5. Nablus and Al Ein refugee camp west of the city - raid, confrontations.

6. Al Khader, south of Bethlehem - raid and confrontations. Live fire, stun grenades, teargas. Suffocations.

7. Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah - raid, firing teargas.

8. Husan, west of Bethlehem - raid and confrontations.

Palestinian attacks against the army

1. Zawata, north-west of Nablus - fire at an army post.


1. Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah - confiscation of 18 dunams of Palestinian-owned land, in order to create a buffer around Mitzpe Dani colony.

2. East Jerusalem - confiscation of a car park that on Fridays becomes a market in the north-eastern corner of the city wall. Digging work begins.

Hamza Suleiman A-Rashed, from Jenin - arrested with his 2 brothers by use of dogs that bit him in his left arm. He was not treated and soldiers continued to beat him up inside the vehicle that delivered him to the Huwarra detention facility.


On December 3rd, Mohammad Jaradat was at the Etzyon detention facility and was beaten up to the point of losing consciousness. He bled profusely but was not treated. Eventually he was hospitalized. Placed in administrative detention for six months.


On October 10th, Asid Hamad from Silwad was beaten up badly, some of his wounds have not healed to this day. He suffered infections because of neglect. Placed in administrative detention for six months.

Thursday, February 15 - The Gaza Strip

‣ 9 lethal attacks;

‣ 87 persons killed;

‣ 104 persons wounded;

‣ 24 hours.

Northern Strip

1. Gaza City - a vehicle bombed. At least 5 persons killed, 2 woman and a baby among them.

2. Al Zaitun and Al Sabaha neighborhoods - at least 10 persons killed in several bombings.

3. Jabalia - at least 6 persons killed in a bombing attack.


4. Tel Al Hawa - aerial bombing. People killed. Could not be approached. Sniper fire at whoever tries.

Central Strip

1. Al Bureij and Maghazi - aerial bombings. Number of casualties unclear.

2. Nuseirat refugee camp - 7 persons killed, 5 of them children.

Southern Strip

Al Nasser Hospital compound

1. Khan Yunis - the Al Nasser compound has been under siege for 25 days. Sniper fire at whoever moves around the compound and inside the wards. Night bombing of the orthopedic ward. Immediately followed by raid of the compound and live fire at the wards. Expulsion of DPs. Arrests of medical staff members, evacuation of patients to older compound. Destruction of the southern wall, raid on the Red Crescent headquarters.

Turning the compound into a military post. A bulldozer destroyed the improvised mass graves in the compound yard. Oxygen supply and feeding tubes destroyed. Several fatalities.



Friday, February 16 - The West Bank

Israelis killed

1. Reserves sergeant major Uri Ya’ish, 27-year-old from Modi’in;

2. Yishai Gartner, 23-year-old from Modi’in Ilit.

1. Qalqilya - dawn raid from southern entrance, army situated in Al Dhahar and shot vehicles. Ibe driver arrested while wounded. His condition unknown, ambulance access prevented.

2. Silat ad-Dhahr, south of Jenin - night raid of 15 homes and vandalizing contents. Mass questioning in the street, arrest of 2 persons who were beaten up, one of them needed medical attention.

3. Aqaba, north of Tubas - special forces raid, then receive auxiliary forces. Confrontations during which Palestinian activated improvised explosive charges. Arrest.

4. East Jerusalem - this week, too, harsh restriction of persons allowed to pray on Friday at Al Aqsa Mosque. Many prayed in the street. In Ras Al Amoud neighborhood, policemen violently pushed people praying.

5. Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah - Raid using teargas.

6. Teqoa, south-east of Bethlehem - raid and confrontations.


7. Anbata, east of Tulkarm - Raid and searches.

8. Hebron - raid of family home of the terrorist from Masmiya Junction (detailed below). Family members beaten up. 3 arrested.

9. Shuafat refugee camp, north-east of Jerusalem - raid of home of terrorist from Masmiya Junction. Confrontations. Rubber-coated bullets fired indiscriminately. One person wounded in the head because he filmed from his home window.

1. Shuafat refugee camp resident opened fire at pedestrians standing at the bus stop at Masmiya (A-Ram) Junction, until shot to death by an Israeli. 2 persons killed, 6 persons wounded.

1. Al-Bireh - north of the city, several colonists attack a Palestinian and beat him up while he oversaw his sheep flock grazing.

2. Kisan, east of Bethlehem - colonists ignited tents, vehicle and sheep pen. Two days earlier they beat up the wife of the tents owner.



Friday, February 16 - The Gaza Strip

Saturday, February 17 - The West Bank


21 persons arrested, one woman among them.

2. Jenin, western entrance - Jalamah, Faqqua and Jalbun east of the town, Silat ad-Dhahr, Bir al-Basha, Arraba south of the town: in all of them - raids, house searches.

3. Deir Ghassana, north-west of Ramallah - village raided, soldiers situated at center, firing teargas and stun grenades.

4. Hebron - raid of mourning shed of terrorist from Masmiya Junction. Tables and chairs ignited.

1. Silwan, Bir Ayoub neighborhood - Ali Odeh forced to demolish his own home.

1. Asira al-Qibliya, south of Nablus - according to Palestinians, security official of Yitzhar colony accompanied by colonists blocked the entrance to the village, forced 3 Palestinians out of their car when trying to cross the checkpoint, and threatened to ignite the vehicle.

2. Khallet Hajar Fauqa, Masafer Yatta - 2 Palestinian children attacked while grazing their flock. Colonists threw stones at them, armed colonists and soldiers stood on the opposite hill and watched them without intervening. One of the children was wounded by the stones and hospitalized. The other was wounded while escaping.

3. Al Jwaya, Masafer Yatta - attack against cattle drivers.

4. Turmus Aya, north-east of Ramallah - colonists attack house on the outskirts of the village. Ignite a vehicle, spray racist slur inscriptions and vandalize property.


Saturday, February 17 - The Gaza Strip

‣ 9 lethal attacks;

‣ 83 persons killed;

‣ 125 persons wounded;

‣ 24 hours.

Northern Strip

1. Al Zaitun neighborhood - aerial bombing, 10 persons killed, 20 wounded.

2. Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City - 7 persons killed.

Central Strip

1. Massive bombing of 9 houses in Deir Al Balah and Az-Zawayda - 44 persons killed, 80 wounded.

1. Rafah - bombing rounds of refugee camp in city center, south-eastern part bombed (near the border), house in the Al Janeina neighborhood at city center bombed - 13 persons killed, at lest 3 children among them.

2. Khan Yunis - bombing of Al Qarra area east of the city - 5 bodies extracted,

6 others still buried under the rubble. More bombings in the various part of town - 15 persons killed.

Al Amal Hospital - under siege for 25 days. Army prevents supply of food, medication and fuel. 7 staff members arrested for 8 days now. Yesterday 2 doctors were freed, testified that they had been beaten up. tortured and humiliated in custody.


Sunday, February 18 - The West Bank


1. Nabil Amer, 19-years-old from Tulkarm refugee camp.

2. Mohammad Al’ufi, 36-years-old from Tulkarm refugee camp.

3. Inas Dweikat, 25-years-old from Rujeib.


19 persons arrested, one minor among them.


1. Jalbun, north-east of Jenin - takeover of a house (home of Emad Abu Al Rub) and turning it into an army post.

2. Tulkarm refugee camp - in the morning, while children go to school, an undercover force breaks in and surrounds a house. Army support with bulldozer block entrances. Snipers on rooftops, confrontations ensue during two persons are killed - an unarmed 19-year-old standing on his roof who was shot in the head by a sniper, and an armed man who took part in the confrontations.

3 others were wounded, as well as an Israeli soldier who was seriously wounded. Army prevented ambulance access. Bulldozer destroyed infrastructure and 4 houses.

3. Beit Furik Checkpoint, east of Nablus - Palestinian young man shot to death while approaching checkpoint. Soldiers claimed he did not stop when demanded to do so. His body was detained for several hours. No weapons were found on it.

4. Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus - raid, house searches. Confrontations including fire exchanges. No casualties reported.

5. Husan, west of Bethlehem - raid of eastern entrance, during teargas and stun grenade use.

6. Al Jaba', south-west of Bethlehem - two days ago colonist from Bat Ayin colony attacked shepherds. Today the army arrested two of the shepherds during grazing.

7. Umm Safa - night raid, house searched, arrest.

8. Marda, north of Salfit - confrontations at the village entrance.

9. Faqqua, east of Jenin - raid and confrontations. Teargas and stun grenades used.


10. Beit Ummar, north of Hebron - confrontations during raid.


1. Shuafat refugee camp, north-east of Jerusalem - sealing of Jamjume’s family home (family of the terrorist from Masmiya Junction).


1. Shab el Butm, Masafer Yatta - colonists attacked family with stones and tried to run down the sheep flock and shepherds close to home. Then came army-garb=wearing colonists to the home, attacked and kidnapped a father and son (remember the ruse of colonists kidnapping a Palestinian?) and took them to the colony. Other armed colonists invaded homes, vandalized equipment and kidnapped another Palestinian. For 24 hours no one knew their whereabouts. They were freed only 24 hours later.

2. Huwara, south of Nablus - colonists came in 2 cars and vandalized parked vehicles.


3. Mukhmas, east of Ramallah - colonists write racist slur inscriptions pointed at the entrance to the village.

4. Kobar, north of Ramallah - colonists and soldiers take 200 sheep. Their shepherd was arrested and beaten.

5. Mu'arrajat, north-west of Jericho - colonists carry out digging works at the new outpost.



Sunday, February 18 - The Gaza Strip

‣ 13 lethal attacks;

‣ 127 persons killed;

‣ 205 persons wounded;

‣ 24 hours.

Northern Strip

1. Gaza City - 5 persons killed in bombing. Sheikh Radwan neighborhood - 7 persons killed in bombing.

2. Beit Lahia - 5 persons killed.

Central Strip

1. Az-Zawayda - 17 more bodies rescued from rubble of yesterday’s bombing, number of victims up to 61.

2. Deir Al Balah - 7 persons killed in bombing. Many others buried under the rubble.


Southern Strip

1. Khan Yunis - 16 persons killed in bombings. Al Nasser Hospital compound has stopped functioning as health center and became a military post. 2 more patients died for lack of electricity, number of such victims rose to 8.

3 women including a doctor gave birth and with heightened risk of infection. Sewage water flooding the emergency room. East of Khan Yunis - 2 persons killed in the compound where DPs were sheltering.
